Editor’s note: This free 60-page download is a work in progress. It explores how organisational data can be used to improve organisational design. Are we looking at organisation design by numbers or something more nuanced
Editor’s note: This is an interesting approach to creating learning environments. Taking a more user experience design approach to work, the authors provide a range of tools to help create a better way to learn at work.
Editor’s note: This week was the first time I have heard Dr Mee-Yan Cheung-Judge talk about organisational design. Her insights are so relevant to L&D, looking at systems thinking, behavioural science, group dynamics and external environmental factors. In this video, Cheung-Judge looks at ways to think about organisational change and in so doing frames the role of learning in change.
Editor’s note: Researchers at INSEAD have modelled the impact of formal structures on how networks evolve in organisations. It would seem that some form of organisational structure is necessary for networks to evolve and flourish.
Editor’s note: Where does L&D sit in relation to organisation design? This is an interesting piece that suggests OD and L&D overlap on core areas such as culture, change and transformation.
