A couple of years ago, pre-LearnPatch and L&D Connect, I gave a Pecha Kucha presentation on formal versus informal conferences at an Elearning Network event in Bristol.
Having recently returned from the first L&D Connect unconference in Scotland I thought it would be a good time to revisit the slidedeck I presented. L&D professionals know that the useful parts of conferences are the conversations and yet most L&D conferences steadfastly stick to lecture-style conference formats, relegating the conversation to breaks.
