An operation on a patient with colon cancer at The Royal London Hospital will be the first in the world to be broadcast live through pioneering (VR) technology. Thousands of medical students watching remotely though VR headsets and using their smartphones will be able to learn about surgery at first hand from one of the country’s leading cancer surgeons, Dr Shafi Ahmed.
