Over the past decade, on my travels, I have asked L&D practitioners what skills we will need in the future, and their answers have fallen into two camps. Some leap to the immediate, the tactical. In the past they might have answered ‘responsive design’ or ‘HTML 5’. Others take the bigger picture view, talking about the ability to influence stakeholders, or rich communication skills. But whatever type of skill they focus on, people are always keenly interested in this crucial issue.
